Freehand Design [Proto 1]

Term 1 Week 3

On monday period 3 i added all my conceptual designs to blogger. During period 4 we had school photos so we missed out on DTM. On wednesday we used freehand to make the shape of our longboards. On Thursday I had athletics, so didn't have DTM.

Term 1 Week 2

We began DTM with a basic outline of the course. Over the 2 week period i've created a google account, a blogger account and added a calendar to my blog. On my first lesson i researched several types of wood and checked the properties of each one. I created a Microsoft Word Document and copied 6 longboard concepts from the internet. I then wrote at least one pro and con for each one. During the next period i sketched a few free-hand designs on paper. I came up with two designs and drew the top, side and front view of each.

Next week (Monday double-period) I'll be drawing up a design for the underside for my longboard and colour it to my taste. From then on i'll be creating a 1/2 scale mock up of my soon-to-be-made longboard.
